The small, main town of Ban Saladan is approximately 20 minutes away, with an array of local shops including chemists, dive shops, bank, travel agents and food halls. All transport to the Island arrives and departs here.

Ko Lanta is one of Thailand's best kept secrets and is without doubt one of its best Islands. Relatively undeveloped and surrounded by a multitude of tropical uninhabited Islands, there is plenty too see and do, which includes: Island tours, sea kayaking, elephant riding, horse riding, cave exploration, diving and snorkeling. There are also plenty of beach restaurants and bars.

Ko Lanta is a quiet, uncommercial Island with a wonderfully slow, relaxed pace. It has great beaches, stunning sunsets, low prices, fantastic diving, some of Thailand's best snorkeling, excellent Thai food and friendly people.
